Being Obedient

About a month ago, I was invited to speak for a Singles Ministry Week of Prayer Event coming up this week. When I got the call, my first thought was who recommended my name? I asked about the topic, date and time and immediately accepted. In addition, I haven’t spoken yet and I’ve been invited to speak for another ministry day at the same church.

Over a couple of years, the Holy Spirit told me to start a blog, start my memoir and become an ordained elder. As an elder, I knew I was going to start preaching. I was already speaking for Wednesday night prayer meeting and preaching was the next step up. I watched where the Lord was taking me and the Holy Spirit revealed to me that I was going to do more public speaking. Everything was falling into place, even at work I was put into positions of leading presentations and building my confidence. It was revealed that soon my name would be mentioned to others and I would be invited to speak at other churches.

I’m still getting use to public speaking and finding my comfort zone. Regardless, I have allowed the Lord to lead me and I see him doing great things in my life.
